Humboldt Street Bathroom Remodel

Elegance and charm surround this freshly renovated master bathroom. The existing bathroom lacked good design, on-trend elements, and harmony. The original floorplan was a narrow passageway, with toilet, shower, sinks, and tub in a single line. The clients longed for a master bath more appropriate to their 1912 Tudor home that would exude style and warmth and be a spa-like retreat.

The clients also desired more storage options for linens and accessories, which was lacking in the original space. To accomplish this, we replaced the two pedestal sinks with a large, bespoke premium alder vanity with plenty of drawers for organization.

The overall effect of the new layout is remarkable – open, harmonious, and inviting. A place to unwind at the end of a long day.

The greatest design challenge was to take into consideration how a vanity of this size would be successfully brought up a narrow set of stairs within the vintage home.

With some creative planning, we designed the vanity as two separate pieces. This allowed us to easily transport it up the stairs and install it in the room. To create a strong and unnoticeable joint, we designed the right side of the vanity to overlap the left. The result is a beautiful, seamless look that the clients love.
