Descriptions
This kitchen renovation sought to transform a choppy, dysfunctional room into a more open, flowing space with improved functionality. The original layout featured an awkwardly designed L-shaped pantry that intruded into the kitchen and a cramped island.
Our strategy included removing walls to reconfigure the space, creating a dedicated beverage wall with wine storage and built-in espresso maker, and adding in a larger island for entertaining.
We balanced the client’s extensive appliance collection with their budget by selecting modern walnut textured laminate cabinetry that offers durability and a striking contemporary appearance.
BKC Kitchen & Bath won the National award for Kitchen Renovation in the $75k-$150k range through the Chrysalis Awards. The Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in sixteen categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards contest is open to all remodelers and design professionals in the United States. Entries are judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. BKC Kitchen & Bath worked with contractor HS Design Build on this award-winning project. To learn more about this award-winning project click here to visit the Chrysalis Awards website.
