Jennifer Rogers combines technical expertise with creative vision in her kitchen and bath career. After earning her degree in Interior Design and Construction Management from CSU, she spent five years with a custom home builder before specializing in kitchen design and joining the BKC team in 2004. Jennifer is passionate about helping clients create spaces that truly impact their lives, transforming dreams into functional realities. One of her career highlights was designing a parade home in San Antonio, where she had full creative control over all selections. Outside of work, you will find Jennifer enjoying quality time with her family and discovering new places on her motorcycle.
Jennifer has received notable design recognitions during her career, including multiple national awards from Crystal Cabinet Works, special recognition from the Denver Home Builders Association MAME Awards, and a national grand prize in the prestigious Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards.

Caitrin McIlvain brings a unique blend of hands-on construction experience and artistic vision to kitchen and bath design. After receiving her bachelor's degree in art, she discovered a passion for design through building houses for Habitat for Humanity and later working at an architectural salvage company. Since joining the BKC team in 2007, she has excelled at transforming clients' inspiration boards and long-held dreams into beautiful, functional realities. Outside of work, Caitrin loves traveling with her daughter, spending time with family and friends, and skiing.
Caitrin has been recognized for her design expertise, receiving several national awards from Crystal Cabinet Works and honorable mentions from Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence and the Denver Home Builders Association MAME Awards.

Peter Von Esten discovered his passion for kitchen design after honing his skills in a Lowe's flooring department, where his natural talent helped propel the location to top 10 national sales status. After transitioning to the kitchen and bath department, where he further finessed his skills in design, he joined the BKC team in 2012. Peter thrives on the excitement of clients' immediate reactions to their newly-transformed spaces, which he helped create. In particular, he enjoys the puzzle-like challenge of maximizing smaller kitchens, recently showcasing his expertise by masterfully converting an office-sized space into a fully functional kitchen that perfectly demonstrates his ability to blend creativity with practical solutions.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys working on his own home improvement projects, playing music, and spending time with his dog, Frankie.

Jennie Showers earned her interior design degree from Arcadia University and joined the BKC team in 2015 with a special passion for kitchen spaces as the heart of every home. She thrives on the challenge of creating designs that seamlessly blend functionality with beauty, finding her greatest joy in witnessing homeowners' excitement when they experience their transformed space for the first time. One of her most memorable projects involved revitalizing an old, poorly functioning kitchen in a mountaintop log cabin, where she masterfully combined rustic charm with fresh, modern touches to achieve the perfect balance between tradition and contemporary style. When she's not designing beautiful spaces, Jennie enjoys staying active and making memories with her family through mountain biking, water activities, and spending time in nature.
Jennie has received notable industry recognition for her designs, including the national grand prize Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence.

Candice Hill joined the BKC team in 2017 after discovering a passion for kitchen design, when she recognized the kitchen as the heart of the home—where families gather, friends connect, and daily life happens. She enjoys combining creativity with functionality, designing kitchens that look great and work perfectly for how each client lives. Candice approaches every project as a new challenge, exploring design ideas and materials while making sure every space is both practical and attractive. She works closely with clients to understand their vision and create spaces where they can cook, entertain, and make memories. When not designing, Candice finds happiness in outdoor activities, movie nights, and spontaneous road trips to explore new places.
Candice has received both local and national recognition for her design achievements, including Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence, the Denver Homebuilders Association MAME Awards, and the prestigious Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards.
Melissa Lindsey

Melissa Lindsey transitioned to kitchen and bath design after spending many years as a vendor representative for a cabinet manufacturer, where she discovered her interest in the design side of kitchen remodeling. Having joined the BKC team in 2021, she enjoys using her extensive cabinet knowledge to help clients bring their design dreams to life. Melissa thrives on the ever-evolving nature of the industry, which provides constant learning opportunities, and finds fulfillment in being creative daily while helping transform the most important spaces in clients' homes. One of her favorite projects involved working with an interior designer and her mother to create a unique kitchen featuring bold blue cabinets with Lucite hardware — a design she loved for its unconventional color choice and striking results.
Outside of work, you’ll find Melissa traveling, gardening, cooking, working on DIY and crafting projects, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Dale Steward

Dale Steward brings a unique perspective to kitchen and bath design, transitioning from over 30 years as a firefighter to his passion for creating beautiful spaces. After moonlighting as a part-time designer on his days off for years, Dale made the full-time leap into kitchen and bath design. In 2022, he joined the BKC team with a deep commitment to helping clients bring their dreams to fruition. His expertise shines in transformative projects like converting a cramped galley kitchen into an open, functional space by removing walls and creating a seamless floor plan—demonstrating his ability to reimagine spaces in ways that fundamentally improve how his clients live and enjoy their homes.
Outside of work, Dale enjoys running the extensive outdoor trail system throughout the Denver area and makes it a point to attend at least two concerts a year at Red Rocks.
Gavy Sipion

Gavrielle "Gavy" Sipion transitioned from performing arts to kitchen and bath design after the pandemic impacted the entertainment industry. Seeking a new creative outlet, she studied at the New York Institute of Art and Design and gained experience working as a design assistant for a general contractor/interior designer and a custom homebuilder. Since joining the BKC team in 2023, Gavy has wholeheartedly embraced her passion for cabinet design, finding her greatest fulfillment in helping clients navigate the often stressful and emotional construction process. Her most meaningful project was the complete home redesign for a family whose house had burned down—a challenging project that allowed her to provide both design expertise and emotional support.
When not creating beautiful spaces, Gavy stays connected to her musical roots through singing and songwriting and also enjoys relaxing at home with her husband, two dogs, and a bowl of her favorite food, popcorn.
John Serna

John Serna brings over a decade of kitchen and bath design experience to BKC. His unique background as a certified Class C general contractor and former remodel business owner gives him a rare perspective that combines creative vision with practical execution and real-world insight. John's philosophy centers on delivering exceptional client experiences through collaboration, excellence, and consistently exceeding expectations. Skilled in multiple design software platforms, he specializes in advanced 3D rendering and cutting-edge tools including virtual and augmented reality. He enjoys collaborating with industry professionals to achieve the best outcomes for clients. What John loves most about working with BKC is guiding projects from concept to completion and sharing that journey with clients.
As a proud Colorado native, John enjoys music, photography, and outdoor sports including mountain biking, snowboarding, and golf.
